Employment Type Full-Time
Minimum Experience Mid-level

As a Product Owner (PO), you will be responsible for driving the planning and delivery of new features, bugs, and other tasks for the Randori platform by filling the gap between the operational requirements and the implementation of these requirements in Randori’s Recon and Attack products. The PO at Randori is expected to work across many projects simultaneously to accompany the solutions from their technical design and planning phases through to successful production deployments. To accomplish this, the PO will work closely with Product Management, UX Design, and Customer Experience as well as other cross-functional teams to maximize the value of the products created by agile engineering teams.

Randori is a leader in attack surface management and we are changing how the world practices security.  We are a passionate, diverse group of people working to ensure every organization has access to a trusted adversary, helping defenders continuously assess their real-world security risk.  Our high-energy, innovative environment has helped us develop a first of its kind single platform for Attack Surface Management (ASM) and Continuous Automated Red Team (CART). We are the only ones on the market bringing the attacker’s perspective and flipping the script from defense to offense. We’re hacker led and mission-driven, applying our endless curiosity, passion for excellence and persistence to help the world hack a better, more secure future.

Specifically, the PO’s primary day-to-day efforts will be to take prioritized, shaped epics from Product Management and work with the Engineering Architects and Team Leads to groom the epics and help prioritize into the engineering backlog for upcoming Sprints.

To be successful in this position, the candidate must possess a combination of strong business acumen, project management, documentation and technical skills to bridge customer business requirements with implementation details. The work is frenetic but has a tremendous impact on our customers and the security market as a whole.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Collaborate with technical leads, engineers, designers, business analysts, and operations teams to identify, define, and break down complex requirements into achievable user stories
  • Prioritize stories, and tasks to ensure work focuses on those aligned with product strategy.
  • Manage the Sprint lifecycle for multiple development teams from backlog refinement to prioritization within a Sprint to feature release.
  • Ensure that items meet the definition of “ready” prior to being pulled into an iteration.
  • Clarify and enforce the definition of “done”, to ensure the resulting products meet business requirements and are of high quality.
  • Provide clear documentation of progress and deliverables.
  • Keep Jira and other systems of record up-to-date.

What’s Required:

  • BA/BS degree or commensurate practical experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Software Development, Customer Experience, Technical Support or Product Management roles at SaaS-based companies.
  • Understanding of Agile development and refining user stories, grooming product backlogs, and prioritizing conflicting requirements.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience working with Jira.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and comfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar certification.
  • Experience working with cybersecurity solutions.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies and tools such as Github and ArgoCD.
  • Experience in designing and development of cloud Saas products and cloud technologies such as GCP or AWS.
  • Experience with Postgres or other relational databases.

If you don't meet 100% of the requirements - that's okay, nobody's perfect! We believe in hiring people, not just a list of skills. We encourage you to apply if you think this is a role that would make you excited about coming to work every day.
