HOC Analyst- Denver, CO/ Waltham, MA/ Remote

We partner with security teams to help them understand the art of the possible by delivering an unrivaled attack experience, at scale. 

As a Randori Hacker Operations Center (HOC) Analyst, you’ll be the eye and ears of the Randori Attack Team. You will use your knowledge of the threat landscape combined with our attack platform to help customers understand risks and improve their security programs. You’ll work alongside our red team, researchers, and developers in order to discover, fingerprint and identify vulnerable, weak, or otherwise interesting targets. You will shape the direction of our products, tools, and training working closely with the Product, Sales Engineering and Customer Success teams. The work is frenetic but has a tremendous impact on our customers and the security market as a whole.

We are looking for individuals that are driven, proactive, thorough and forward looking. You have an understanding of the client-server model and several network protocols. You have experience with at least one cloud provider API. You are experienced with scripting languages, and have capability with Python. You are capable of quickly learning new technologies.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Assist with advanced threat analysis, best practices, incident response and other operational issues
  • Design and develop simple solutions or tools independently and with team members
  • Research recently disclosed and historic vulnerabilities for a variety of systems
  • Communicate the risk or threat a vulnerability poses to a broad audience
  • Perform analysis of networks and systems to identify strategic security targets
  • Accurately identify software, versions and/or configuration settings of remote systems

What is Required:

  • BA/BS in computer science, computer engineering, or commensurate practical experience
  • 2-3 years of experience with scripting languages, strong preference for Python and Bash
  • Up-to-date knowledge of attacker techniques, tools, and procedures
  • Strong understanding of networking
  • Experience with common cybersecurity tools and techniques
  • Adaptability to changing directions and requirements

Preferred qualifications:

  • Expertise with Docker in cloud computing platforms
  • Expertise with scripting languages
  • Experience in the designs and implementations of SaaS platforms
  • Interest in CTF or other vulnerability/exploitation challenges
  • Experience with agile development
  • Experience verifying vulnerabilities on systems or writing proof of concepts of exploits
  • Experience with incident response
  • Experience implementing common security mechanisms on networks and systems
  • Experience bypassing common security mechanisms on networks and systems
  • Experience detecting threats on networks or systems
